Dr. Peter Warshawsky, Dr. Robert Lacrampe and Dr. Neil Patel offer mini dental implants to permanently replace your missing teeth. Mini implants are most often used to secure dentures or other restorations in place, but can also be used for single-tooth implants. We welcome you to call Periodontics of the Desert at 760-674-4410 to learn more about mini dental implants in Palm Desert, California, and schedule your consultation with our skilled periodontists.
We would be happy to recommend a mini dental implant as an alternative to standard dental implants. A mini dental implant is a smaller version of its traditional counterpart, typically used to secure dentures to the jawbone to provide firm, long-lasting support. Our doctors will first surgically attach the mini implant post to the jawbone to replace the root of the missing tooth or teeth. Because mini implants are smaller and therefore less invasive than traditional implants, less healing time is required. Once the jawbone has healed, we can finish the implant with a custom-made dental crown or denture to complete your smile.
Mini dental implants function like traditional dental implants to prevent the loss of bone following tooth loss or extraction and maintain your natural facial shape and volume. Contact us today to learn more about mini dental implants and whether they are right for your smile.
