Dr. Neil Patel, DDS
Dr. Neil Patel grew up in Merced, CA. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Following his time in Los Angeles, he moved to Bay Area to attend the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry, where he earned his D.D.S. Degree. During his time at UCSF, he held many leadership positions and was awarded the Dental Student Award for Achievement in Periodontology from the American Academy of Periodontology and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievements in Periodontics by UCSF.
Following dental school, Dr. Patel pursued specialty training in Periodontology and a masters degree in Orofacial Sciences from UCSF. During his residency, Dr. Patel served as the Chief Resident and was involved in multiple research studies to help advance the field, including his thesis about the usage of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in systemically compromised patients.
Dr. Matthew
Matthew Comfort, DDS
Dr. Matthew Comfort is a highly accomplished and dedicated dental professional with an extensive educational and clinical background. Graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Comfort obtained a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, Dr. Comfort served in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, TX. While in the Army, he developed a passion for periodontal treatment and helping patients maintain and improve their oral health. This passion led him pursue his specialty training in periodontal and implant surgery at the UCLA-VA Periodontal Residency program where he learned advanced bone and gum grafting techniques, implant surgeries and other leading-edge periodontal treatments.
In addition to his foundational training, Dr. Comfort is currently an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, California Society of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and California Dental Association. His active involvement in these associations reflects his dedication to staying up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry to provide the best possible care to his patients.
When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Comfort spends most of his time with his two young children and his wife or training for his next triathlon.
